Robotics is a transdisciplinary branch of engineering and science that deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. An autonomous system is a system that performs tasks with a high degree of autonomy (without external influence). Designing and managing Robotics and Autonomous Systems requires diverse skills from various engineering disciplines such as electronics, mechatronics, control and signal processing together with state-of-the-art computer science such as software architecture, algorithms and data structures or artificial intelligence.

Target Group and Enrollment

Current senior undergraduate or master students who are highly motivated and passionate towards scientific research and equipped with solid research skills.

Application Materials

Applicants are required to submit the following documents via the online registration system:

  1. Identity Document
  2. Latest Transcript(s), both Bachelor’s and Master’s if applicable
  3. CV
  4. Degree Certificate(s) or Certificates of Enrollment

Additional documents preferred:

  1. Research proposal
  2. Proof of Awards and Publications

Note:

  1. Please complete the application and upload all documents via online registration system.
  2. All materials must be authentic. Fabricating will lead to the withdrawal of admission.
Additional Information about Summer Camp
  1. Fees: Accommodation, meals and insurance will be provided by the organizer.
  2. Transportation: ROAS doesn’t provide any booking service or subsidy for campers.
  3. Safety: All students must comply with the relevant regulations issued by HKUST(GZ).
  4. The summer camp is a valuable opportunity with limited spots available. If you are admitted but cannot attend, please inform our department in a timely manner.
